Virtual Wine Tour

3.30-4.15 pm - Majella and Balnaves

Now it is time for one of Penola’s younger heros – Majella, and if you have kept to the schedule (no problems if not) we land at our final destination – the tranquil Balnaves besides the lake. (If you chose Blok Estate instead, you may get scones now).

Coonawarra's best glamping bell-tents

Have you ever tried glamping? That is, camping with a real bed and electric power, and no need to put up and pull down a tent? The full camping experience without the hassle? Your own fire, wine, the stars - time for romance even...

Warm in winter and cool in summer, these cosy and glamorous bell-tents are located next to a vineyard and a lake on a 200 acre property. They are 5m across and accommodate up to 4 people on a king bed and two single beds.

The best news is that they are only $85 per night for 2 people weeknights, and single night stays are allowed. Pets are welcome too!

A clean and new amenities building is close by and the undercover camp kitchen has BBQs and everything else you need, Electric blankets, heaters and tea and coffee in your yurt are included standard.

(A little Coonawarra Discovery tip - try the $50 deluxe upgrade which adds generous breakfast provisions, a roaring fire and a bottle of their own Coonawarra Cabernet...)
